Thank you for taking the time to visit my website. My name is Allison Norrington and I have worked as a complementary therapist since 2002. The complementary therapies which I am qualified to perform are facial reflexology, foot reflexology, therapeutic massage, hot stone massage, indian head massage, thermoauricular therapy "hopi ear candling" which I carry out at my home in Wickford, Essex.

Complementary therapies are used alongside orthodox treatments to assist the body to heal itself. The body can become out of balance due to stress, pain or illness and often requires a helping hand to return to former health and vitality. A complementary therapist, however, never claims to cure or diagnose any illness.

I find my work very fullfilling and rewarding, having the ability to help people to feel better, reducing pain and stress. Most people can benefit from complementary therapies, including children (I am fully CRB police checked) and the elderly, although in some cases it may not be appropriate.


My qualifications to date are a diploma in Anatomy Physiology and Body Massage with the International Therapy Examination Council (ITEC), a Practitioners certificate in Reflexology with the Association of Reflexologists, Facial Reflexology "Sorensensistem" www.facialreflexology.com and I am qualified to perform Indian Head Massage, Hot Stone Massage and Thermo-Auricular Therapy "Hopi Ear Candling". I feel it is very important to keep my skills up to date and attend post-graduate courses on a regular basis. I have completed courses in advanced reflexology, hand reflexology, the intestinal link (reflexology), reflexology for back pain and have completed part 1 of Suzanne Enzers maternity reflexology course. I have also attended various advanced massage courses.

I am fully insured with Complementary Therapists Association. As a therapist I am bound by a code of Professionalism and Ethics. Confidentiality and client care are always of utmost importance.

I primarily carry out my complementary therapies from a room in my home in Wickford, Essex but also provide a mobile service. There is an extra charge payable for home visits of £5.00. I am also within easy reach of Billericay, Pitsea, Basildon, Noak Bridge, Rayleigh, the A127 and South Woodham Ferrers.

I am experienced at treating conditions such as arthritis, back pain, digestive disorders, hormonal imbalances, skin complaints, menstrual disorders, stress, auto-immune conditions and general aches and pains etc.
